United Art and Education is extremely concerned about the safe use of our products, especially among children. We have attempted not only to identify items that are safe for use by children, but also to highlight those that should not be used without supervision, or by children under 3 years of age. Products that have not been properly labeled as non-toxic should not be used in the presence of children or in environments with persons who are unable to understand safety labeling information.
ACMI Certification of Products Products bearing any of these labels have had a toxicological evaluation by a medical expert and have been reviewed by The Arts and Creative Materials Institute (ACMI) Toxicological Advisory Board. These products are certified by ACMI to be labeled in accordance with the chronic hazard labeling standard, ASTM D 4236 and Federal law, P.L. 100-695.
For more information on the testing of products, contact ACMI at (781) 293-4100.
