Investment of nearly $2 million will add 25 jobs at the company's
headquarters and warehouse
FORT WAYNE, Ind. — United Art and Education, Inc., a nationwide
supplier of art and education-related supplies and materials, announced
that the company will invest $1,950,000 during the next three years
to expand its corporate headquarters and warehouse facilities at
4413 Airport Expressway. The expansion will result in 25 additional
jobs by year-end 2009. The company’s investment includes more
than doubling the size of its existing building and the addition
of IT and distribution equipment.
“We are proud to be able to expand in the community in which
this company started and has prospered,” stated Michael Gugel,
president of United Art and Education. “Fort Wayne offers
the optimum location and business climate for this business to continue

spirit in Fort Wayne, backed by a solid record of customer-driven

in the community.”
“United Art and Education is a nationally recognized supplier
to teachers, schools and individuals, and an important long-time

of the Fort Wayne-Allen County Economic Development Alliance Board
of Directors. The Alliance worked with United Art and Education,
the City of Fort Wayne, Goldstine Knapke Company and Master Group
to secure this investment. The City of Fort Wayne will provide a
$40,000 grant to assist in the company’s expansion. In addition,
Fort Wayne Common Council may consider a tax abatement for the building
addition and planned equipment purchase.
