Step 1: Choose the painting to be featured in the diorama (you can use the CD-ROM books listed or your own art history books).
Step 2: To make the background for the panorama-sized box, cut out one 15-1/2 x 6" back piece and two 6-1/2 x 6" side panel pieces out of bristol board. Tape the three pieces together on the back side. (This will fit into the diorama box later after it is finished.)
Step 3: Color the background with Crayola Color Sticks. Draw and color additional parts of the diorama on bristol board. Cut out pieces with scissors or a craft knife.
Step 4: Glue the background into the diorama box. Glue the 3D layers into position.
