Step 1: Measure and tape off square or desired shape. Using hake brush, paint background with tempera for a smoother drawing surface with less crevices and bumps.
Step 2: Draw an outline of your design with white chalk.
Step 3: Starting at one corner, moving diagonal across you square, use the large sticks of Freart Chalk to color in larger areas.
Step 4: Take the Reeves Pastels and mke detailed highlights and shadows to finish the drawing. Remove tape.
Optional Tip 1: Use latex gloves to keep hands clean and protect fingers while blending chalk.
Optional Tip 2: You may thin the tempera paint to make it go farther.
