Directions

Step 1: Tell students to imagine their very own zoo and the animals they would like to live in it.
Step 2: With the ink pads, students can make thumb print animal bodies on the white paper.
Step 3: Let the ink dry for a few minutes.
Step 4: To finish the animals, add details with the black marker.
Optional Tips

• Rather than a zoo, ask students to come up with their own theme.
• Make thumb print architecture and create a building or city.
• Have your class make a large mural on butcher paper to hang in your school's hallway.
• The type of ink used for this project washes up easily with soap and water.
