   Directions

Step 1: Color six fish canvas panels with paint markers in desired colors and patterns, with both sides of each fish matching. Let dry.  >>view picture

Step 2: Using wire cutters, cut three lengths of 16-gauge wire: 10”, 15” and 20”. Use a ½” dowel rod to make a 1/2” loop in the center of each wire. Bend down the wire on each side of the loop, then bend the tips to form a small hook and create the mobile’s supports.  >>view picture

Step 3: Wrap wire around the ½” dowel rod. Cut 15-18 loops. Connect the loops with pliers to assemble the mobile, putting 5 or 6 loops in between each set of supports.  >>view picture

Step 4: To attach the fish to the supports, use a knife or needle tool to poke into the top edge of one canvas panel. Bend a "u" shape in the wire support, insert it into the canvas and glue in place.  >>view picture

Step 5: Repeat Step 4 with remaining canvas panels.  >>view picture
