| United Art and Education has joined K12 Gallery for Young People
in a community arts education partnership. K12 Gallery, in Dayton,
Ohio, provides opportunities for young artists to imagine, create
and grow. They serve the young people in the Miami Valley by offering
art classes taught by professional artists, exhibiting young artist
works in the K12 Gallery in downtown Dayton and by reaching out
to the Dayton community through large-scale art projects.
Art Classes and Workshops
K12 Gallery for Young People is an art school where they bring art
to kids and kids to art. Focusing on visual arts, every class is
led by a professional working artist. Studio
classes are offered on a quarterly basis and are available in
the Elementary Studio (K-6th grade), Senior Studio (7-12th grade),
Studio 510 for Adults, or through a variety of programming options,
including preschool classes, after school programming, Artist in
Training and Summer Art Camps.
Young Artist Art Exhibitions
K12 is the only gallery in Ohio to exhibit young people’s
artwork on a year-round basis. Monthly exhibitions feature a variety
of media and are displayed at the Time Warner Cable Artzone Sales
Gallery for four to six weeks, as well as online.
Artist in Residence and Community Outreach
With a very active Artist in Residence program, K12 Gallery
has reached thousands of students throughout the Miami Valley region.
Professional artists work with schools that are without an art teacher.
Contact K12 Gallery for more information.
K12 Gallery for Young People can partner with companies, organizations and festivals
to provide memorable "make and take" projects with the patrons at community and private events.
