Steps

  • Step 1
Start with one sheet each of blue and black construction paper, size 9x12". Cut the black construction paper in half to 9x6".
  • Step 2
Cut an abstract rock background for your reef. It can have either a vertical or a horizontal edge.
  • Step 3
Using a glue stick, glue the background rock to the blue construction paper. You can place it on the side or bottom edge.
  • Step 4
Cut 5 different colors of 9x12" Pacon Super Bright Tagboard in quarters. Each project will use one quarter of each color.
  • Step 5
Fold each portion of tagboard into quarters. Draw 3 sections of coral and 1 section of fish with colored pencils. Black markers can be used instead of colored pencils if desired.
  • Step 6
Cut out the coral and fish.
  • Step 7
Apply 3D-O’s to several of the fish to make them "pop" off the page and look like they are swimming.
  • Step 8
Glue the coral to the background rock and the fish to the blue background paper.
