Make your favorite animal print into a t-shirt! Use resist for the animal print, and then tie-dye.

Steps

  • Step 1
Use permanent resist to paint an animal print on the T-shirt. Allow design to dry.
  •
    Step 2
Pre-treat T-shirt with soda ash, per the instructions, to activate dye and help to fix it.
  • Step 3
Fold T-shirt in accordion fashion or traditional spiral fashion and rubber band it loosely.
  • Step 4
Mix dye in empty squeeze bottles, according to directions on jar. Squeeze dye onto T-shirt, repeat with each color. Place T-shirt in garbage bag and allow it to sit overnight.
  •
    Step 5
Remove rubber bands, unfold and rinse shirt. Allow it to dry.
