Does the website carry the same selection of items that I could find at the retail store?
Our website has most of the items available at our retail locations, in addition to some items that are exclusive to the website. We carry over 23,000 items. Whether you shop online or at one of our stores you'll find a tremendous variety of art materials and educational resources.

Ordering Questions

Why can't I check out?
Did you have items in your cart leftover from another session? If so, you may be getting the error "No such entity with cartId = null". This error is hard to detect, as it is at the top of the screen, and disappears after 20 seconds. Try clearing your cart and starting again. Our Quick Order feature can help you get things back into your cart quickly.
Are you paying by credit card? If so, you may be getting the error "Credit Card error. Please check billing zip code and card information". Try double-checking that all information was entered correctly for your card – number, expiration date, Card Verification Number, and that it actually matches the zip code on your billing address.
Do you have a gift card? If so, our site has been having trouble with payments that are split between gift cards and credit cards. Please enter your gift card, then complete the checkout by choosing PO; using your last 4 credit card digits as the PO number. Our customer service team will call you for your credit card payment. Where is my order history?
When we updated our website software on 10/1/2018, not all previous orders were imported. If you'd like to be able to view your orders from 2017 or 2018, we'd be happy to restore that information for you - just send us a message via the Contact page, or call 800-322-3247.
Can I receive a Volume Discount when purchasing online?
Yes! Our Volume Discount program applies to any purchases made through our catalog, our website, and our United Art and Education retail locations.
Do you collect sales tax? How do you handle tax exempt organizations?
We add sales tax for orders shipped to the following states: Arkansas, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, North Carolina, Nebraska, New Jersey, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Utah, Washington and Wisconsin.

If you are tax exempt and you are being charged taxes at checkout, please add a note to your order with your tax exempt number or organization name. We will remove the tax from your order and process and ship it without delay. In order to provide proper documentation to your state tax department we require that you send a copy of your State Tax Exempt Certificate to us at internetorders@unitednow.com or fax it to (800) 858-3247 at your earliest convenience.

If you are tax exempt we strongly urge you to save your login information rather than checking out as a guest. Once we have your Tax Exempt Certificate we will update your account so you will not be charged sales tax on future orders.

Please note that your Federal Tax ID does NOT identify your State Sales & Use Tax Exemption. For legal exemption, please provide your State's Tax Exemption using your State's appropriate exemption form.
Can I use a school purchase order to make an online purchase?
Yes, purchases may be charged to your school's existing United Art and Education account. When checking out, simply check the "Pay Online with a Purchase Order" button in the "Select Payment" section. You must be an authorized buyer and include a P.O. number on your order.

Organizations which are eligible for instant credit can also click here to print the Instant Credit form. This includes Public Schools/Universities, Government Agencies, Church-Affiliated Day Cares (over 20 years old), Parochial Schools (over 20 years old), Libraries, Head Starts, and Churches (over 20 years old). All other organizations should apply for credit by clicking here. When applying for credit, please provide complete references.
I need to have my purchase order amount approved before I order. Do you offer quotes?
Yes! When checking out, simply check the "Save Cart as Quote" button. This will allow you to save the quote and email it to anyone you need to; then come back to it to place the order at a later time. The user does have to be logged in to complete the purchase. Or, print the quote so that it can be mailed, faxed, or phoned in as an order. Quoted prices are guaranteed for 60 days.
United is not on my Approved Vendor List. How can I buy from you?
We'd love to know the information about your school and/or district. If your school or district buys educational materials exclusively from an Approved Vendor List and you are not sure if United Art & Education is an Approved Vendor, please take a moment to tell us about it by clicking here.  We'll do our best to apply to your list.
Can I receive the sale price as advertised on the website when I place a catalog order by mail for the same item?
Web sales have a limited duration and are changed on a regular basis. Therefore, at this time, special web sale prices are designated specifically for web orders only. If you wish to order by phone, fax or mail, you should use your shopping cart to print the order as a quote and include a copy of that quote with your order. If we are unable to provide the pricing because the sale has expired, we will contact you for permission before charging a different price.
Are there any restrictions on a free shipping promotion?
Free shipping promotions may not be combined with other discount codes. They are good at www.UnitedNow.com for merchandise purchases only, not for use at stores or on catalog purchases. Only merchandise value counts toward the qualifying order amount, tax and shipping costs do not. Items shipped directly from the manufacturer or oversized (noted in item details) cannot be counted toward the qualifying order total and do not qualify for free shipping. Codes are limited to one offer per customer and are for one-time use only. Codes expire at 11:59:59 PM EST on date provided and will not be honored after that time.
Does United ship to correctional facilities?
Yes, United Art & Education does ship orders to inmates at correctional facilities. However, if items are temporarily out of stock, we will hold the order and ship it complete, typically within two weeks.
Does United offer a Reward Card?
www.UnitedNow.com does not have a Reward Card, but our retail stores do. You can read more about it here.

Does United Art and Education sell their mailing lists?
United Art and Education does not share, sell, rent or trade e-mail addresses, mailing addresses, phone numbers, credit card numbers or any other customer information collected as part of a contest entry, mailing list request or correspondence. We do not contribute to shared or cooperative databases. For privacy purposes, all customer information is stored on a highly secure server that is not accessible from the internet.
