Flat Reed Suncatcher Project

Flat Reed
Tissue Paper in assorted colors
Black Ink
Scissors
Paint Brush
Glue



Make sun catchers using reed and tissue paper!


Steps

  • Step 1
    Cut ten, 7" long strips of ¼" wide flat reed. Paint the reed black with the India Ink, let dry.


  • Step 2
    Weave the reed pieces together creating sixteen, 1" squares. Glue the reed at each intersection.


  • Step 3
    Cut eleven 1¼" squares of tissue. Glue each square onto a different section of the reed. Leave five squares open for interest.
