Use Dura-Lar Clear Film and glass paint to make a suncatcher! This project also has an instructional video available!

Steps

  • Step 1
On the Dura-Lar, trace the outside of the brass ring with a permanent marker (three 5" brass rings will fit; six 4" rings will fit on one sheet).
  • Step 2
With a craft knife or scissors, cut out the circles. Punch a hole in each for hanging purposes.
  • Step 3
Peel the protective coating from both sides of the Dura-Lar Film. With glue, attach brass rings to each of the circles of Dura-Lar Film. Allow glue to dry overnight.
  • Step 4
Use the black permanent marker to create a design on the film. Allow black marker to dry, then fill in with glass paint. Once the glass paint colors are dry, you can add other colors on top. Attach a piece of string or cord and hang.
