Use Dura-Lar Clear Film and glass markers to make a suncatcher! This project also has an instructional video available!

Steps

  • Step 1
On the Dura-Lar, trace the outside of the brass ring with a permanent marker (three will fit on one sheet).
  • Step 2
With a craft knife or scissors, cut out the circles. Punch a hole in each for hanging purposes.
  • Step 3
Peel the protective coating from both sides of the Dura-Lar Film. With glue, attach brass rings to each of the circles of Dura-Lar Film. Allow glue to dry overnight.
  • Step 4
Use the black permanent marker to create a design on the film before coloring with the glass markers. Allow black marker to dry, then color with glass markers. Once the glass marker colors are dry, you can add other colors on top. Attach a piece of string or cord and hang.
