Steps
- Step 1Cut a 9x12" piece of corrugated cardboard from flat sheet, or from a recycled box.
- Step 2Rip some of the top layer from the corrugated cardboard to create texture.
- Step 3Choose a piece of multicultural construction paper and cut out your face shape. Glue the face to the cardboard with paste.
- Step 4Rip or cut out a piece of paper from a phone book, newspaper or magazine. Draw a profile on the sheet with oil pastels. Cut out the profile and glue it on top of the face with paste.
- Step 5Add more details with oil pastels.
- Step 6Rip or cut out another piece of paper from a phone book, newspaper or magazine to use as hair. Cut out hair shapes and apply them to the face with paste.
- Step 7With leftover pieces from the face construction paper, cut out a neck and paste it onto the cardboard. Use scrap pieces of construction paper or scraps from the magazines to create clothing and paste them onto the cardboard. Add final oil pastel details. Use Tacky Glue to glue jute around the border to create a frame.
