Steps
- Step 1Use a ballpoint pen and a ruler to mark a 2x2" grid on a sheet of 12x12" Soft-Kut Material. Use scissors or a craft knife to cut apart the 36 block print stamps.
- Step 2With a Sharpie, draw a design on one of the stamps.
- Step 3Cut out the spaces around the design with Speedball Linozips.
- Step 4Roll out 1 color of block printing ink with a brayer and ink your stamp.
- Step 5Print the stamp on a 9x12" sheet of block printing paper. Using a blank stamp as a spacer, print the first color in a checker board pattern. Then wash the stamp, ink the stamp with a second color and print the second color in the blank areas, completing the pattern.
- Example 1Experiment with different patterns on the same sheet.
- Example 2You can also experiment with more than 2 colors.
