Create zoo animals with fun fingerprint art!


Steps

  • Step 1
    Tell students to imagine their very own zoo and the animals they would like to live in it.
  • Step 2
    With the ink pads, students can make thumb print animal bodies on the white paper.
  • Step 3
    Let the ink dry for a few minutes.
  • Step 4
    To finish the animals, add details with the black marker.
  • Optional Tip 1
    Rather than a zoo, ask students to come up with their own theme.
  • Optional Tip 2
    Make thumb print architecture and create a building or city.
  • Optional Tip 3
    Have your class make a large mural on butcher paper to hang in your school's hallway.
