Use Cray-Pas Expressionist Transparent Extender Oil Pastels as a resist in this Aboriginal drawing! This project also has an instructional video available!


Steps

  • Step 1
    Draw an Aboriginal design on mixed media paper with Sharpie markers.
  • Step 2
    Add highlights and details.
  • Step 3
    To create a resist, trace over marker lines and dots with a Cray-Pas Extender.
  • Step 4
    Place drawing in a tray, on a larger paper or on a table cover. Squirt your choice of liquid watercolor into a cup. Brush paint over the entire piece of paper. Let paint dry.
