AMACO Opalescent Glazes 6-Color Class Pack

A liquid, ready-to-use glaze with a high gloss and an iridescence similar to mother-of-pearl. While glazes can be used on any Amaco clay, they develop their greatest opalescence and most interesting textures when applied over Amaco #67 Sedona Red clay. Best results are achieved with three or four applications. On textured ware, the glaze flows thin on relief and thick in incised areas, accenting details. Apply on bisque by brushing, dipping or pouring. On red bisque these glazes should be applied heavily and a slow firing is best. Excellent results for raku. Recommended firing temperature is Cone 05 (1915°F). Pint jars. Food safe when fired to recommended temperatures. Glazes contain no lead or cadmium. Each glaze is labeled with appropriate health seals. Six colors:  aquamarine - CL, bluebell - CL, sapphire blue - CL, autumn leaf, fuchsia and turquoise - CL. CL glazes have a Cautionary Label: Not for use with grades 6 and below.
