Mayco Fundamentals Underglaze 4 oz. 12-Color Set

These underglazes are highly versatile! Use for complete coverage, or as part of a design. They can be applied to wet clay, greenware or bisque. For best results, shake well and apply 2-3 coats. For textured pieces, dab excess color out of recesses, and never let the glaze pool in textured areas. Feature a wide firing range, from Cone 06 to Cone 10. While colors have been formulated to mature at Cone 06/05, most maintain their color at higher temperatures. For use on clay or greenware, apply underglaze, allow to dry, and fire to cone 04. If desired, apply clear glaze and re-fire. For use on bisque, apply to cone 04 bisque, apply clear glaze if desired, and re-fire. Typically, applying a clear glaze will bring out more vivid colors. Colors will fire to a matte finish if no clear glaze is applied. For best results, test on your clay body and in your kiln prior to use on finished pieces. Set includes 12 colors in 4 oz. bottles: China white, bright yellow, orange, fire engine red, dragon red, regal purple, bright blue, kings blue, apple green, leaf green, chocolate and jet black. If left unglazed, Fundamentals underglazes should not be used on surfaces which come in contact with food or drink. AP Seal.
