Mayco Stoneware Glaze Rose Quartz Pint

Stoneware glazes are striking whether used alone or in combination with other glazes. Glaze won't run off your piece. Formulated for mid-range and high-fire clay bodies. Apply to bisque and fire to Cone 5 or 6; can also be high fired to Cone 9 or 10. At Cone 6, Rose Quartz is a glossy, opaque, variegated pink glaze that breaks over texture. Pastel pink micro-crystallization may develop on vertical surfaces. At Cone 10, glaze darkens and desaturates to a dusty rose with red and mauve variegation and white micro-crystallization. Breaks mauve grey over texture. This glaze is fluid; apply receding coats to avoid run off on vertical pieces and practice caution in combination. Over-application of Rose Quartz can cause surface issues. Thin application results in vibrant pink; light pink variegation develops with additional application. The micro-crystallization effect is enhanced in a rapidly cooling kiln. Pint. AP Seal.
