Use Claycrete to make a wall hanging to display nature's treasures!
Claycrete is non-toxic, comes in powder form and mixes with water to form a paste. When in paste form, it is modeled or applied over an armature. Claycrete starts setting up in 30 minutes, then detailed modeling can be done. Additions will stick to the form without any problem, because it will cling to any clean surface, but will not stick to the hands. It’s easy to prepare, easy to model and very economical. Finished projects dry bright white (when not dyed with watercolor), very lightweight and durable.

Steps

  Step 1
  Collect weeds, leaves and stones from nature.

  Step 2
  Decide how many colors you want to create and portion out claycrete into empty bowls, one bowl for each color. Measure out the water needed for each color separately, according to package directions. Before mixing Claycrete with the pre-measured water, add a few tablespoons of your chosen liquid watercolors to the clear water. Wearing gloves, add the colored water to the correct amount of Claycrete.

  Step 3
  Keeping gloves on, lay out a plastic bag and create a relief design using the Claycrete.

  Place weeds, leaves and stones into the Claycrete and let dry for 1-2 days.
