Make colorful feathers with just watercolor and thread. This project also has an instructional video available!

Steps

• Step 1
  Using water-based markers, watercolor paint or liquid watercolors, decorate the color diffusing feather. Allow to dry completely.
• Step 2
  Cut a length of embroidery thread. With a tapestry needle, stitch a design onto the paper feather. Tape loose ends to the back to secure. Be careful not to stitch too close to the edges or the feather may tear.
• Step 3
  Optional: Add additional embellishments such as beads, buttons or felt if desired.
