Use Kwik Stix solid tempera paints to create alphabet letters in a Jasper Johns style. Kwik Stix dry very quickly, eliminating the need for long drying time and allowing several layers of color to be applied within minutes of each other.

Steps
Step 1Draw a large letter on your paper with pencil.
Step 2Look at Jasper Johns' Alphabet painting for reference. Using several colors of Kwik Stix, paint the first layer, filling in the whole paper. Our examples use blue, red, yellow and orange.
Step 3Add more layers of color, forming creative blends and interest. Add white highlights as one of the final layers.
