- Step 1Study animal images of the Aztecs and ancient Mexican people. Draw a 4x6" rectangle on a piece of paper. Draw your animal image inside the rectangle. On a larger sheet of tracing paper, trace the image with a dark pencil.
- Step 2Flip the tracing paper over onto a 4x6" piece of Soft-Kut Block Printing Material. Rub the image with your finger; the graphite will transfer on to the Soft-Kut simply by the pressure of your hand.
- Step 3Enhance the graphite image with black sharpie before cutting out the blank spaces with linoleum cutters.
- Step 4Cut Smart-Fab into 6x9" pieces. Cut a 1-1/2" triangle off the bottom to create a pennant notch. At the top of the pennant, use a 1/4" circle punch to create holes approximately 1/4" and 2" in from each side.
- Step 5Using block printing Ink, print the design on the Smart-Fab pennant. We used black and white for the contrast. String together the pennants and hang to display.
