Tumbled Glass Suncatcher Project

Tumbled Glass Pieces
Long Nose Pliers
Copper Wire in assorted gauges
String
Scissors
Artistic Wire Coiling Gizmo (optional)
Beadalon Wire Twister (optional)

Use copper wire and tumbled glass to make this fun suncatcher! This project also has an instructional video available!


Steps

  • Step 1
    Create a frame with 14- or 16-gauge copper wire.
  • Step 2
    Select tumbled glass pieces and arrange them inside the frame.
  • Step 3
    One by one, wrap the glass pieces into your frame with 18- or 20-gauge wire. Use pliers if necessary.
  • Step 4
    You may want to use additional wire to enhance the design, as well as a Coiling Gizmo or Wire Twister to shape the additional wire strands. Once your design is finished, add a piece of string and hang.
